St Mary's Church East Window

This nativity scene was designed by Henry Holiday, and made by Powells, in about 1917 -1918, it is dedicated to the loving memory of Gordon Ivor Wilson, who was born 8th September 1896, Gordon was a Second Lieutenant in the Royal Flying Corps on attachment from the Yorkshire Dragoons Yeomanry (Queen's Own). He was 20 when killed in a flying accident at Upavon on 12th February 1917. He was the son of Alexander Mills Wilson and Amy Evelyn Wilson, of The Moor, Presteign, Radnorshire.
