An Evening with Antartic Ice Maiden Major Natalie Taylor on Wednesday 6th March at 7.30pm at Rushall Primary School

Nat An Evening with......
. . . Major Natalie Taylor

No team of women, from any nation, had ever completed this formidable challenge using muscle power alone. It was the ultimate opportunity to show that women have the mental strength and physical endurance to operate in the most hostile environment on earth.

The Ice Maiden team covered 1,700km using muscle-power alone, pulling sledges and battling temperatures of -46°C and wind speeds of over 60mph during their 61 day journey.

Unsupported, and with only two resupply points along the route, they carried all the supplies and equipment needed to survive for up to 600km at a time.

On 19th January 2018 the Ice Maiden team crossed the finished line.
On Wednesday 6th March at 7.30pm Major Natalie Taylor, a member of the Ice Maiden team, will be visiting Rushall Primary School to speak about her amazing story. It will be an event not to be missed.
Tickets cost just £10.00 per adult and will include wine and nibbles. Doors will open at 7.30pm, ready for an 8pm start. The evening will draw to a close at 9.30pm. All profits will go to the PTFA at Rushall Primary School, providing items and activities to enhance our children's education.
Tickets are limited and will be available from the School Office, Upavon Camp – Major Morton, RAO, 2MI Bn HQ and Upavon Village Shop from Monday 4th February.
