UPAVON VILLAGE FOOD BANK

 

The Food Bank was established in January 2023 and has been regularly used since then. Food items are donated and collected from the porch of St Mary’s Church. There is a notebook for suggestions for items which would be particularly useful for those in need of some support to feed their families.

Village residents continue to be generous in donating food items and financial contributions. Upavon Baptist Church have made generous. donations. The Church Council is very grateful for this support.
There are several options to contribute to this valuable resource: Perhaps adding a couple of items to your weekly shop and dropping these off to the boxes in the church porch. Making a ‘one off’ or regular financial contribution by contacting the church council treasurer Donal Connon on 01980 630951 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. using the envelopes marked Food Bank Donation which are on a table inside the church and posting these into the wall safe on your right as you enter the church.

Commonly needed food items, include: tinned soups, tinned meats - stewed steak, corned beef, ham, tinned tuna, baked beans, tinned spaghetti, breakfast cereals, tea, coffee, sugar, long life milk, biscuits,(sweet and savoury), tinned fruit, tinned rice pudding, pasta, pasta sauces, rice, jams, marmalade, sweets for children, pet food. Commonly needed toiletries and household items: Soap, toothpaste, washing up liquid, handwash, shower gel.
