FOR THE ATTENTION OF ALL UPAVON RESIDENTS
As a result of recent and ongoing village expansion, the Upavon Parish Council (UPC) currently holds substantial funds. If not appropriately utilized "for the benefit of the Upavon community" within the next seven years, these funds will be returned to Wiltshire Council.
UPC does not wish this to happen. This money is your money and should be spent in a manner and for purposes that you, tax payers of Upavon, see fit. Over the years, various suggestions have been proposed, ranging from practical to achievable, from public tennis courts to paved river walks. Many of these ideas rely on long-term volunteer efforts for sustainability. However, the impact of COVID and its aftermath has seen a decline in the volunteer sector, leading to challenges for several otherwise worthwhile projects. In consideration of these constraints, UPC has compiled the most frequently requested village enhancements and now presents them to you for your vote.
This is your chance to make your village a better place to live. Please find the options listed on the back of this page, and we kindly ask for your vote by no later than Friday 8th March 2024.
You can send your vote from the Village Questionnaire Button below.
Alternatively, you can download the Project Suggestions sheet by clicking here and send your answers by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your vote is crucial, once all the votes are gathered, they will be discussed at the UPC Meeting on Wednesday, 13th March, with a view to presenting a short list for voting at the annual Village Meeting in May 2024. Please check our noticeboard and website for updates. Thank you for your engagement and contribution to our community's growth.
