There are two Food Bank Boxes in the porch of St Mary’s Church. One box contains food items and one basic toiletries.

If anyone is in need of these items please take them.

We ask all in our community who are able to do so to make donations of non perishable food items and basic toiletries to the Food Bank.

Items can be deposited in the boxes during the time that the church is left open, between 0900 hrs-1600hrs daily.

All items, however few, are useful and a single item or items given regularly are much appreciated. We thank all who are already giving and it is good to know that our village is concerned to help those finding these times particularly difficult.

Items especially needed are: tea, coffee, long-life milk, sugar, tinned soups, tinned vegetables, pasta and pasta sauces, tinned meat and tinned fish e.g. tuna, sardines etc.

Useful toiletry items include: soap, hand wash solution, shower gel, toothpaste and deodorant.

If you would prefer to make a monetary donation this can be done via the St Mary’s Food Bank Account. Our church treasurer, Donal Connon at dconnon@btopenworld or 01980 630951 will deal with any such donation.

This appeal is to all village residents of any faith or of no faith, to help our fellow villagers in need. Donations of non-perishable, dry and tinned foods and toiletries are welcomed. Suggestions for commonly needed items would be useful.

There is a note book and pen with the boxes for suggestions.
