Tuesday 13th June – Enford Village Hall

The Rain or Shine Theatre Company presents “Twelfth Night”, or What You Will”

“If music be the food of love, play on!”

Following last year’s sell out performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” we are pleased to announce the latest production by the renowned ‘Rain or Shine’ Theatre Company – ‘Twelfth Night” which will take place at Enford Village Hall on Tuesday 13th June.   Gates and Bar open from 6.00 p.m.   The Performance starts at 7.30 p.m.

Hailed by ‘The Stage’ asone of the best touring open air theatre companies " Rain or Shine is set to delight family audiences once again this summer with their production of Shakespeare’s cross-gartered and hilarious cross-dressing comedy Twelfth Night, as they ‘transport’ you to a land where nothing is quite what it seems.  “If music be the food of love, play on!”    Have you ever found yourself in yourself in a strange place, surrounded by strange people, taking extraordinary measures to find your way? That’s the situation Viola finds herself in when, shipwrecked and separated from her brother, she sets foot upon Illyria’s sandy shore.    “What country, friends, is this?”    Lost and alone, she disguises herself as a man and sets forth. Before long, chaos ensues as mistaken identity, love, pride and alcohol set a host of much loved characters on a series of hilarious adventures.   Hopeless romantics, drunken knights, a pompous steward and fools galore abound in one of William Shakespeare’s most celebrated comedies with Viola and the Duke Orsino with Sir Toby Belch, Sir Andrew Aguecheek and Malvolio..  "Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them" !

Tickets (£12 Adult, £6 child under 15) can be reserved: by email to or by phone to 01980 670501/671017 or you can book online with Ticketmaster

If the weather is good, the performance will be outdoors, so bring a picnic, and something warm to wrap round your shoulders for when the sun goes down.   If the weather is not too good the performance will be inside the Village Hall.   Come along for an enjoyable and entertaining evening !!
